So far this is really well executed. Your "splash photo" is eye catching and your use of color is strong. I find some of the text distracting and difficult to read. Can we make this stand out more? Perhaps think about incorporating graphic elements (shapes, color etc.) - check out Spin Magazine layouts and covers. I also like how you incorporated a UPC symbol - most layout designers will do this when pitching their cover.
